Our Team.
The professional team at Service Injury Support Centre (SISC) is led by Dr. Manuela Joannou. Dr. Joannou is a family physician and emergency physician with 28 years experience. She has a keen interest in psychotherapy, especially helping military members and first responders suffering from PTSD and Operational Stress Injuries. She is the Medical Director and Founder of Project Trauma Support, a residential program that addresses PTSD and Moral Injury in first responders and military personnel. She is joined in this venture by Dr. Markus Besemann, Rehabilitation Medicine Specialist, and Dr. Troy Neufeld, Family Physician and Emergency Physician with extensive military experience. The team is rounded out by Dr. Lori Gray, psychologist, and several psychotherapists, all with significant experience dealing with first responders and military members. SISC is partnered with Back On Track Physio who provide physiotherapy, massage therapy and kinesiology services. All of our professional team members have extensive knowledge in the mind-body connection and utilize a multi-modal approach to helping their clients heal in a holistic manner.
